Spring Creek Trout Hatchery LLC

Spring Creek Trout Hatchery was established in the mid- 1960’s by Robert (Bob) VonLindern.  Bob, his wife Carrie, their daughter Bobbie VonLindern and business partner, Tony Nowak, operated the hatchery throughout the years and have stocked privately owned ponds in Montana with high-quality, disease free fish.

The hatchery has provided a variety of trout over the years – rainbow, kamloops rainbow, brook, cutthroat, and brown trout.  The hatchery used to have their own brood stock and would spawn the fish and raise fry and fingerlings as well as larger, immediately catchable sizes.  At times, live eyed-eggs have been shipped to various locations in the U.S.

The hatchery process and regulations have changed over the recent years, and our brood stock is no longer being spawned at this time.  We currently only raise rainbow trout for sale to private, licensed ponds in Montana.

Unfortunately, several of the family members have passed away in recent years and the hatchery is now being managed and operated by Bob’s granddaughter, Vanessa Adams, her daughter Grace, and other family members.

We enjoy and strive to continue providing high-quality, disease free trout to our friends in Montana and are looking forward to continuing this service well into the future.
