On 1st and Main Street in Lewistown; head south on 1st Avenue S. The street will take a sharp, left to right S-curve at the end of 1st Ave. S., which then turns into the Upper Spring Creek Road (Highway 238 South)
Travel about 2.5 miles from town. Once you pass the Brewery Flats fishing access and mile marker 2, you’ll take a right at the 2nd bridge on Timberline Road.
On Timberline Road just follow it up the hill and across the flat section. After you pass a brown house with a fence to your left and before the road curves to the right, there will be a field with a bunch of derby cars and an outbuilding. The road to the hatchery is to the left of the field with the cars (140 Trout Lane) and has an old address and private property sign on it.
Go down the hill – be careful at the bottom because it is really narrow and there is an overgrowth of trees. At the bottom of the hill turn right (90-degree corner) and drive up to the red hatchery building.
